The Lord's Heritage

Psalm 127:3 says, "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.

We are thankful to all the wonderful children who come to Sunday School every week. What started as a small group of about 10 children has grown into about 40. They are now grouped into four - namely the Nursery group (0-3 years old), The Pre-school group (4-6 years old), the Elemtary group (7-8 years old) and the Pre-teens group (9-12 years old). Through God's love, grace, and wisdom, every minutes spent with these kids is truly a blessing and a treasure. We are very exited to see how God's heritage will grow more in number and His Knowledge.

We are thankful to the dedicated volunteer-teachers for their time and effort in sharing the good news through prayers, bible stories, songs, memory verses, crafts, games, snacks and presentations. Also, we are thankful to the NHICC family and visitors for all their wonderful support in terms of kind words, sweet smiles, monetary gifts and heartfelt prayers. Galatians 6:9 says, "So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up."

Above all, we are amazingly thankful to our Heavenly Father's faithfulness - for what He has done, What He is doing and what He will still do through His son Christ Jesus and by the Holy Spirit. To Him we give all the glory and honor!

Honorbound Men

Ministry Coordinator: Job Landingin

The Honorbound Men's Ministry seeks to challenge all men to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ who make an impact on their families, their workplace, their neighbors, and their community. The Men's Ministry encourages all Men of Honor to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, connect with others in the biblical community, and share the message of Jesus Christ with others who don't know Him.

We thank God for His faithfulness. The NHICC Men's Minitry continues to grow in number with men that are willing to grow in spirit...men that are committed to honoring Jesus Christ...men that are committed to worship, prayer and obidience to God's Word in the power of the Holy Spirit...men that are committed to build strong marriages and families through love, protection and biblical values.

I am thankful for the past 8 years of God's greatness in the Women's ministry of NHICC.

HONORBOUND MEN'S MINISTRY May 30, 2009

Honorbound Men's ministry will hold a "One Day Rummage Sale" on May 30th right on the parklots of Glad Tidings Tabernacle in LB from 7AM to 3PM cash & checks only. This is simultaneous with the The Youth's Car Wash so Come Shop while vehicle's washed.

As fundraising event for upcoming Sportsfest & October Pinecrest Retreat, we would like to solicit for donations from among us for household items & other usable goods. This early, please load them up into your cars & bring them to church starting this Sunday will put them in our storage. This is our chance to clean & unload your overstuffed garage, cabinets & maletas yet for a very good cause.

Women of Hope

Ministry Coordinator: Ana Serrano

I remember our first retreat in 2005 at Pinecrest when we experienced a very special kind of bond as we opened up to each other with tears and laughter. It is so amazing to see that the Women of Hope continue to grow in the Lord and it touches my heart everytime we have fellowship and I see all the support you generously give. I know that we can only do things like this if we have God in our hearts. That is why I am so proud that we all have one faith and that faith is aimed at glorifyig and serving God. Ladies, you are the best! What you did especially during our July 2007 fellowship was amazing. The fund what we raised shows that the Lord is truly in your hearts.

Go, go, go Women of Hope! As the Lord says in Jeremiah 29:11-13, "'For I know the plans I have for you' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek Me with all your heart."

I would like to take this opportunity to thanks Pastor Ruth, Sister Haydee and Sister Ana for their cooperation and patience in helping me. I love you guys. To all the Women of Hope, Ilove you and God bless you more!

Singles' Ministry

I thank you dear God for the ministry you have given to the singles. Your faithfulness is shown from generation to generation. You are still speaking today through your church and the ministries you have given to us. I am so blessed that each one of the Singles' Ministry members is also a part of other ministries in the church. They are actively involved in the Rapha, Women's, and Men's, Couples' and Technical Ministries.

I pray that You work in us and through us Lord. Continue to use us in a mighty way that will bring glory and honor to You for You deserve no less than our highest praise and thanksgiving.

Prayer Ministry

SPC Ministry Coordinator: Haydee Chua

There are no better words to say than "Thank you!"...for the Lord has done great things for us and we are filled with joy!

This is such an opportune time to meditate upon the goodness and faithfulness of our Lord in building up the Prayer ministry over the last 8 years, which has been a wonderful growth in the spirituality and commitment of our members.

Our prayer meetings and activities continue to be a platform where God is able to display His awesome grace and power. And as a Satellite Prayer Center (SPC) for the 1800-4PRAYER hotline, our volunteers are able to reach out to callers from across the US and neighboring countries who seek God's help through prayer.

We thank the Lord for all these opportunities not just to serve Him, but also for the privilege of witnessing Him faithfully respond. The praise reports and testimonies for answered prayers are such a wonderful blessing to behold over and over. And the heartfelt gratitude of prayer hotline callers, even simply for having someone take a few minutes to listen and pray with them, upholds the value of every prayer that we lift up to God.

Thank you to all our faithful and dedicated prayer ministers and volunteers. You are truly warriors for Christ. Let us altogether continue to trust that God will faithfully encourage and empower us as we keep on serving Him. God bless you all!

Music Ministry

Thank you Lord for receiving our worship to You through music...Thank you Lord for putting songs on our hearts that indeed lift up our souls in worship to the king of kings and the Lord of lord...Thank you Lord for receiving our dancing and singing...Thank you for Your presence in the church everytime we worship You...

You have given a lot of talents to your children and we give them back to You. you have indeed blessed us and filled our hearts with so much joy, love and peace to worship You.

Jesus, you are our music. Jesus, you are our songs!

I thank the Lord for the wonderful team He has given the church. Brother Joe, thanks for leading the worshiip team with faithfulness an love to worship Him. Sister Macrene, thank you for leading the dance and tambourine team with passion and joy. To the choir, just continue to lift up your voices to Jesus and sing to Him!

Father, Son, Holy Spirit, thank you for the real music you have brought to our lives. To you be all the glory, honor and praise forever and ever! Amen!

Couples

Ministry Coordinators: Charlie and Myra Nadela

Core Group (DJ,Hannah, Pastor Ruth, Pastor Eric, Myra and Charlie)

We have developed a wonderful Couples' Ministry in our church. through counselling and monthly fellowship, we constanly equip couples with ways on how to enhance their relationship, and add a new dimension and excitement to it. The tolls we provide blend seamlessly into their existing marriage and impart to them new strategies of communication that will effectively become the foundation of a lasting and wonderful Christian relationship.

At our fellowship during the third Saturday of every month, we help couples take proactive steps to prevent marriages from reaching a state of distress and to revive those that are already in distress. It is our vision and goal to transform bad marriages, increase intimacy in good ones, save the future if children involved in hurting homes and bring new families into our church. We even touch delicate topics that most churches frown or shy away from, such as cultivating healthy discussions about sex, drugs, homosexuality, and teenage pregnancies. These are realities that thrive in our society today and must faced with objectivity, compassion and understanding with Christian perspective.

Futhermore, our ministry is also blessed with financial advisers/consultants who can help and guide couples in their financial concerns. Financial issues have remained the number one cause of matrimonial conflicts. The resolution of these problems is an essential ingredient to a harmonious relationship.

John 10:10 says, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." We thank the Lord that we can hold on to His promise to live pru married life abundantly.

Rapha Medical Ministry

Thank you Lord for giving us Your heart that is full of compassion and impels us to move with Your spirit in sharing our mediacal knowledge and talents to help those who are in need. Thank you for Your strength and encouragement to the Rapha Medical Ministry. Thank you for guiding us in organizing fruitful projects that will touch lives and exalt You as our Lord of hope. Thank you for giving us this ministry to exercise the core of out outmost purpose in life andthat is to help those who are helpless and give hope to those who are hopeless.

Thank you to all the volunteers who give their support, time and effort to help the ministry. To Sisters Ana, Jean, Macrene, and Brother Charlie and Joe, who always take turns treating minor injuries during church activities. To sister Chona who gives her time visiting the sick and cancer patients. And to the rest of the members who gave their time helping the ministry.

Father God, may you continually empower us to do the work of helping our brothers all over the world for your glory. Thank you for not leaving us.

RAPHA TEAM Medical Mission May 2009

Dear New Hope Family,

The Ushering Ministry exists to support the pastors and assist the church members so they can focus on what God is doing during the worship services. By handling some tasks involved in running the service, we enable our pastors to concentrate fully on ministering to the church. Our tasks include ensuring order during the church service, overseeing the collection of tithes/offerings, distributing the communion elements and making people feel welcome and comfortable in the church. We are a group of people with vibrant and friendly personality.

As we provide the support system for the church members to participate smoothly in the worship services, we also grow in our personal relationship with God because others build our character and cause us to mature. Our service is an act of worshp to our Servant King.

The Ushering Ministry is also a great training ground for developing leadership. The bible says that serving others is the starting points for greatness. Most of our pastors and ministry leaders once served as ushers, and many of our volunteers have grown to become fruitful discipleship group leaders. As ushers, we learn to serve with gladness, be on time, be responsible for our tasks and even manage or lead a team if other volunteers. Having served in the ushering ministry, we have seen how God has rewarded us with friendship, spiritual growth and more or His presence in our lives.

If you would like to serve God and His people and wish to grow in your relationship with him, I encourage you to consider volunteering for the Ushering Ministry. I believe that as you take time to serve others and be a blessing, you yourself will be blessed. See you at New Hope International Christian Center and experience God's love!

Technical Ministry

Ministry Coordinator: Nel Cortez

During the election of officers of the Men's Ministry in April 2006, the Technical Ministry was also created. I was elected in-charge of the set-up and pack-up pf our church and I accepted the position with joy in my heart knowing that I will be serving our Lord in this way. I am very thankful to the Lord for entrusting this ministry to me.

God's amazing grace is clearly evident because He has richly blessed our church with enthusiastic and responsible men (even women and children) who voluntarily lend a hand in the set-up and pack-up each and every week, serving the Lord with gladness. I truly appreciate their utmost cooperation and help knowing that I cannot perform this honorable task alone.

As Ephesians 6:7-8 says, "Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does whether he is slave or free."

Thank you so much to everyone who faithfully helps me in this ministry. May our Lord richly bless you, your family and loved ones.

Food ministry

We never leave the church hungry, that I am sure of!

It is my job and delight to witness our fellowship every Sunday growing intensely after the service. Each person from children to adults will line-up, get their food, find a place and fellowship with whomever sits with them at the table. The fellowship never ends! Thanks to this wonderful Food Ministry that out church put up.

I am very thankful to all our Food Coordinators for doing a wonderful job each Sunday. I know and see your sacrifices - setting up the tables, running errands to make it sure everything is complete and ready, and serving the food with a smile on your faces. I am also grateful for each family that is a member of our food groups, whether you are in Longbeach or Alhambra. Thank you for all your contributions.

Each Sunday as you go to church, be ready to be filled spiritually with the word of God and be filled physically with adobo, kare-kare and pancit! Praise the Lord!
