Flood Relief Update:

Dear New Hope Family,

I am writing to remind you of the drive we have to raise funds, clothing, food items, blankets, bed sheets, pillow cases that we can send to our kababayans who were victims of the Ondoy flood.

I think I suggested the fast-a-meal method for this week and bring in whatever we have saved to be sent to the Philippines.

Maybe we can aks the Women's to spearhead the collection and packing of the items in balikbayan boxes so we can ship them out ASAP. It will take 25-30 days to get there, so the sooner we can ship them out the faster they will receive them.

If you don't have a ride and cannot bring them yourself on Sunday, we can come pick it up for you. Just call the office, PE, PRuth and PRicky.

Dear New Hope Family,
I received this response from Ptr. Raul Manuel regarding the sending of relief help to our affected Filipinos.
I would like to say thank you to those who responded to last Sunday's appeal for a special offering to be sent out to the Philippines. If you have immediate families affected by the flood please inform us at the office so we can send them some help. We can send a balikbayan box to specific family members who got hit bad.

We will not be collecting clothing or canned food for general relief, we will leave the purchasing to Convoy of Hope as they will have a better grasp of what is needed. As he mentioned in his email, there is also a need for pots and pans, and cooking implements, etc. If you did not get the opportunity to give last Sunday you can still do so this Sunday.
